LaVision 3D Strainmaster portable Digital Image Correlation system

Non-intrusive optical tool for surface shape, strain and deformation analysis of solid and granular subjects. Samples are prepared using a black and white speckled dot pattern for maximum colour contrast. Cameras record an image series of a sample during testing which can be done in a 2D or stereo configuration. Tracking algorithms divide a sample into smaller regions of interest known as imaging subsets. The image sequence is analysed in software to determine aforementioned behaviours of interest.
