    Description

Equipped with load cells of 500N, 2.5kN, and 25kN, this Universal Testing Machine is capable of accurately testing under the force range from 1N to 25kN with an accuracy of 0.5% of applied force, meeting the needs of testing various small-scale timber, metal, polymer, and other samples. The travel distance is 1090mm and the max vertical specimen diameter is 410mm.
The machine can be used in tension, compression, three-point bend, and four-point bend. For compression, the 150mm compression platens can be used for both cylindrical and cubical samples smaller than 150mm diameter. For larger samples, a 400*500mm compression plate is available for sample fitting the size. The three-point bend fixture offers an adjustable span of 35-300mm, and the four-point bend can be used to test small concrete beams.
For tensile tests, there are V profile wedges suitable for cylindrical samples with diameters ranging between 3mm to 15mm. For flat samples, the crosshatch wedges allow specimens up to 30mm wide and 15mm thick. The minimum sample length is ideally 150mm. On top of the regular tensile clamps, a few additional grips are available to suit different natures of the samples. The HT43 bollard grips give the machine the capacity for testing fabric, webbing, strapping and similar materials, the maximum belt width is 50mm. The HT32 double bollard grips enable the machine to test strings up to 6mm in diameter. The HB15 bollard self-tightening offset wedges are a combination of wedge and bollard and are suitable for low-friction materials for tests up to 10kN. The HT19 split collet grips can hold dumbbell test pieces with a diameter of 5mm.
Instead of the traditional strain gauge type extensometer, this machine is equipped with the VectorExtensometerU200 with 25-180mm gauge length. This extensometer can detect strain in a non-contact fashion due to its optical system, it also integrates adaptive AI capabilities within the hardware, improving measurement accuracy, data consistence, and operator safety. It has a resolution of 0.5µm and is capable of ISO 9513 Class 0.5 and ASTM E83 Class B1.
