Equipments Details

Description

Equipped with a 50kN load cell, this Universal Testing Machine has the capacity from 100N to 50kN with guaranteed accuracy of 0.5% of applied force, meeting the needs of testing various small- to medium-scale timber, metal, polymer, and other samples. The travel distance is 1065mm, and the max specimen width is 405mm.

The machine can be used in tensile, compressive, and three-point bend tests. For tensile tests, flat samples with a maximum thickness of 15mm can be tested. The three-point bend fixture offers an adjustable span of 35 to 300mm. A clip-on extensometer (strain gauge) of 50mm gauge length can be incorporated to the machine to give extra support for strain data acquisition.

Given the wide range of capacity of our UTMs, this machine is mainly dedicated to teaching. For research purposes, samples can be tested either on the 25ST or the 100ST.
