Overview

I am specialised in highway and transportation engineering and have been working in the UK academic sector for three decades including teaching and research. I worked for the universities of UCL, IC, Bristol, Brighton, Leeds-MU and LSBU. I have extensive experience in teaching undergraduate and postgraduate courses and in the supervision of MSc and PhD projects in addition to managing and developing courses and modules. I am the Director of Studies of an average of seven PhD students per year for railway and highway engineering research. Experienced in professional development, tutor for international students and tutor for placement and careers.

1) My research and publications span the areas of:
• Traffic and highway engineering
• Railway engineering
• Sustainability
• Professional development and the training and learning of graduate engineers at the workplace during their Initial Professional Development (IPD).
2) PhD research students:
I have around 7 PhD students per year who conduct research in the above areas particularly transportation engineering and sustainability.

6) I am the Vice Chair of the "IHE Greater London Branch", which I re-launched in 2022 with a colleague from the highway industry (current Chair). IHE is the Institute of Highway Engineers
