Ms Claudia Williams

I am a registered Adult Nurse and lecturer within the Adult Nursing Divishion at LSBU. I addtionaly hold the post as a Senior Lecturer in Practice Learning sitting in the Insitute of Health and Social Care at LSBU.

I hold a BSc (Hons) in Nursing, a Post graduate certificate and  Masters in Medical and Health Care Education.
I joined the Insitute of Health and Social Care team as a nursing Lecturer in 2021.

My clinical background is in Critical Care / Intensive Care Nursing and Clinical Education within Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHSFT.
I hold the post as  module lead for the year 1 Adult Nursing Practice and Clincal Skills  module along with being part of the teaching team for various other modules within the BSc programme. 
I am passionate about clinical skills and practice learning, in particular the use of simulation in pre-registration nursing curriculum.

Within my role I support our student nurses to prepair for thier clinical placements inaddition to prepairing registered nurses to undertake their roles as Practice Superviors and practice Assessors in accordance with the NMC's SSSSA (Standards for Student Supervihion and Assessment). Part of my role is to develop high qualitery practice placments for our students, ensuuring there are opportunities to learn and develop their skills as nursing students.
