I am a Research Engineer in the Heating and Cooling Research Group at London South Bank University (LSBU). I have extensive experience in building energy simulations and the application of innovative carbon-saving technologies. My research focuses on decarbonising the European food sector, where I have contributed to multiple projects aimed at reducing energy consumption and carbon emissions across various stages of the food supply chain.
I have published peer-reviewed papers and conference papers in the areas of energy efficiency and modelling, refrigeration, and sustainable technologies. I have also been involved in collaborative research projects with industry partners and academic institutions across Europe.
I am an invited researcher at the French institute INRAE in Paris, collaborating on modelling work and supervising interns, contributing to cutting-edge research in energy-saving strategies for the food sector.
I actively participated in the ICCC 2024 conference in Japan and the ICR 2023 conference in Paris, where I presented my research and engaged with leading experts in the field of refrigeration and energy efficiency.
I was nominated for the Early Career Researcher of the Year award at LSBU's Research & Innovation (R&I) festival in November 2024 in London, UK, in recognition of achievements in research.
I have received the Best Student Paper Award from the International Institute of Refrigeration (IIR) and the Japan Society of Refrigerating and Air Conditioning Engineers (JSRAE) at the ICCC 2024 conference in June 2024 in Tokyo, Japan.
I was awarded the Ted Perry Research Award by the Institute of Refrigeration (IOR) in February 2024 in London, UK, recognising my contributions to innovative carbon-saving technologies in the retail sector.
Beyond my research, I actively participate in conferences, as well as workshops and professional organisations such as IIR as a commission member, where I share insights and collaborate with other experts in the field.
