Personal profile

Overview

Overview

I am a PhD Researcher in Virtual Production and a Lecturer in Computing and Data Science at London South Bank University. I joined LSBU in 2022 and have been actively involved in teaching across undergraduate and postgraduate programmes, alongside conducting research in computer vision and immersive media technologies. I am currently in the final stage of my PhD, with my viva pending.

My research focuses on volumetric video compression and Quality of Experience (QoE), addressing the gap between traditional objective video quality metrics and human perception in immersive environments. I have contributed to dataset development and open research in this area, with work published in IEEE venues and datasets shared via IEEE DataPort. Prior to my current role, I worked in both academic and industry settings, including roles in teaching, research, and IT systems management.

Research Interests

My research interests include volumetric video processing, perceptual quality modelling, and machine learning applications in image and video analysis. I am particularly interested in bridging subjective human perception and objective quality metrics using data-driven approaches.

My work also explores media forensics and deepfake detection, focusing on dataset design, evaluation protocols, and reproducible research. In addition, I investigate the use of advanced machine learning models such as Vision Transformers, CNN-LSTM architectures, and gradient boosting methods for quality prediction and classification tasks.

The broader aim of my research is to contribute to next-generation immersive media systems by improving how visual quality is measured, predicted, and optimised in real-world applications such as virtual production, AR/VR, and streaming systems.
