    Overview

I am lecturer in innovation and enterprise at LSBU Business School. I joined LSBU in 2023 having previously worked at the University of Victoria (UVic) in Canada as a postdoctoral research fellow.

I am passionate about researching entrepreneurship and migration in small businesses because I believe these areas can promote effective changes for an environment pro-innovation.

In 2021, I have received the Best Emerging Reviewer Award from the Academy of Management Learning & Education.

    Research Interests

I am enthusiastic about understanding how entrepreneurship and migration occur in business and management. These areas relate to my history, sense of community, and life purpose. My research agenda focuses on how multiple actors, such as entrepreneurs, families, corporations, and organisations can construct an environment of pro-entrepreneurship through institutions that motivate creative thinking and opportunities and produce social and economic impacts in different contexts. I am particularly interested in the symbolic, cultural, and historical aspects which can contribute to the development of sustainable businesses.

My teaching interests are mainly in Entrepreneurship, Migration, and Family Business. I have considerable experience teaching entrepreneurship and other topics to undergraduate and graduate students. In the past, I taught Entrepreneurship in Brazil. More recently, I have been teaching Responsible Business, Principles of Strategy, and Effective Business Negotiations at the undergraduate level
