Overview
I am a senior lecturer, director of practice learning and social worker in the Social Work department, part of the School of Allied and Community Health at LSBU.
I joined LSBU in 2023. Prior to this, I worked for 17 years in local authority children's social work services, primarily for Brighton and Hove City Council. I worked as a social worker, senior social worker, lead practitioner and team manager. I am a qualified practice educator.
I am a passionate advocate for emotionally literate, respectful and reflective front-line social work to serve, safeguard and support children, adults, families and communities.

Research Interests
I have a particular interest in family justice and was a founder member of the Sussex Family Justice Board Quality Circle. I have developed and delivered training for social workers around court work, and for the local Safeguarding Children Partnership around safeguarding, neglect and social work.
I facilitated reflective practice groups, and am interested in supervision in social work.
