Professor George Agyekum-Mensah

With three decades of leadership experience in academia and industry, Professor Agyekum-Mensah brings a depth of expertise that aligns exceptionally well to both sectors. He is a Professor of Sustainable Project and Construction Management. He recently held different senior leadership roles at LSBU including Head of School and Head of Division of Construction, Property and Surveying. Prior to this role, George was the Head of Built Environment at the University of Greenwich. He is fully involved in impactful research and knowledge transfer, academic practice, and provide inspirational leadership to develop growth in performance, fostering teaching excellence, and outstanding student outcomes. He is a Chartered Quantity Surveyor (FRICS), Chartered Construction Manager (FCIOB), and Chartered Project Manager (FAPM) as well as sit on many global PSRBs boards.

Professor Agyekum-Mensah has many high-quality publications and has led and managed the organisation of academic conferences, seminars and also as an Editor of conference proceedings. He is currently a reviewer for notable journals and a member of two international research associations. He has successfully directed, supervised, and examined many PhD students. George is open to any PhD supervision, Knowledge Transfer Partnerships (KTP), consultancies and research activities. In addition, he undertakes professional training/mentoring in Quantity Surveying and Commercial Management, Sustianable Project Delivery, Procurment, Construction, and Management related subjects.
