Overview

My PhD and DSc degrees are from the University of London. I am a Fellow of the Ghana Academy of Arts and Sciences, and fellow of three professional institutions. I worked at the National University of Singapore in 1983 to 2017. At LSBU, I was the Director of Research and Enterprise of the School of the Built Environment and Architecture (2017-19); and became the school's Dean in 2019. I am a consultant and adviser to governments and international agencies on construction industry; Deputy Chair of the Infrastructure Transparency Initiative; and member of the Board of Trustees of Engineers Against Poverty.

Research interests

My main areas of research are: Construction industry development; Professionalism and ethics in construction; Sustainable construction, focusing on Construction and the Sustainable Development Goals; and Leadership development in construction.
