Personal profile
Overview
I am an architectural practitioner, researcher and writer. I have taught at London South Bank University, London Metropolitan University and University of Hertfordshire. I recently completed a PhD at the Royal College of Art in London. The thesis discusses local collective housing projects through the lens of the commons. Before my experience in academia, I worked for architectural practices in Vienna, New York and London.
Research Interests
I am currently co-leading a research project titled London's Common Gardens which aims to upscale and exchange community knowledge on urban sustainability. The work includes a series of workshops and events with the local Loughborough Farm. Outcomes included several events (exhibitions, academic symposium) and a small stage, which has been designed and built collaboratively by LSBU students and farm volunteers. The project proposes a “live project” as a format of knowledge exchange between academic and non-academic partners. Each year concluded with an event at the London Festival of Architecture, inviting the public to engage with the project.
