Research Interests

My research interests include international business, strategy, and corporate social responsibility. I also work with colleagues from different fields/divisions and take cross-disciplinary perspectives. I endeavor to make scholarly contributions that advance theoretical understanding and offer insights for managerial practice to help businesses grow and contribute to a sustainable society. With my colleagues, I published one article in the Journal of International Financial Markets, Institutions and Money in 2022. My other coauthored paper was the finalist for the Alan M. Rugman Most Promising Scholar(s) Award at the Academy of International Business (AIB) in 2022. I have presented multiple papers at conferences, including the Academy of Management (AOM) and the Administrative Science Association of Canada (ASAC). One of my papers received the designation of a “Top 10% Best Paper” at the AOM conference in 2023. My recent projects study the strategies of multinational enterprises (MNEs) and crowdfunding ventures, and their impacts. I also examine the firm’s diversity commitment and explore and theorize a phenomenon that relates to corporate responsibility devolvement.
My teaching interests include international business and strategy. Previously, I have taught a capstone undergraduate course Administrative Policy (Strategic Management) multiple times from 2021 to 2023, both online and in-person. I have also taught the distance education version of two courses, including International Management and Administrative Policy. I have audited MBA classes, including Strategic Leadership & Managing Change.
During my Ph.D. program, I served as the president of Asper Master & Ph.D. Student Organization. I also served as a graduate student representative on the Equity, Diversity & Inclusion (EDI) Task Force, and on the Presidential Advisory Committee (PAC) for the Decanal Search.
