Overview
I am Head of Division for Education in the school of Law and Social Sciences. I Joined London South Bank University in 2019, as Head of Initial Teacher Education and took up the post of Head of Division in 2021. Prior to working at LSBU, I worked at the University of East London for nine years, as Senior Lecturer and Head of Teacher Education.
My background is in teaching. I have taught in mainstream and special schools, in Newham, Hackney, and Waltham Forest, and been an assistant head and SENCo.

Research Interests
I have a particular interest in special educational needs and completed my MA in Education in 2008 at Kingston University whilst working in a special needs school. I have also completed a Post Graduate Diploma focusing on the place of special needs schools in initial teacher education.
EXTERNAL ACTIVITIES
I am an external examiner at Plymouth Marjon on the Foundation degree in Early Years and the BA SEN.
