I joined LSBU in October 2020 as a Microbiology Technician in the School of Applied Sciences. Before relocating to London, I worked as a Microbiology Technician in the medical laboratory at Wellkin Hospital, Mauritius. My background combines clinical and academic expertise, and I am passionate about advancing microbiological research and supporting laboratory operations.

I hold a Diploma and a BSc (Hons) in Biomedical Sciences and have accumulated over six years of experience in both hospital and academic settings. During my tenure in a hospital environment, I operated independently across Microbiology, Serology, and Immunology, contributing to the seamless functioning of essential services. My proficiency in Bacteriology includes media preparation, interpretation of culture results from diverse specimens, and bacterial identification through biochemical tests such as Analytical Profile Index and Antibiotic Susceptibility Testing. I am also well-versed in quality assurance programs, ensuring compliance with rigorous standards for reliable and accurate laboratory outcomes.
