Research activity per year
I am a Lecturer in Digital Analytics at London South Bank University (LSBU), where my teaching and research focus on machine learning, edge computing, and sustainable computing practices. My work aims to develop practical solutions for energy-efficient systems and carbon-aware applications, contributing to frameworks for sustainable computing in 6G.
I hold a PhD in Computer Science from the School of Computer Science at LSBU, completed under the supervision of Professor Tasos Dagiuklas, as well as a BSc (Hons) in Computer Science and an MSc in Software Engineering from City, University of London. Alongside my lecturing role, I serve as an Early Career Researcher (ECR) specialising in network programmability, sustainable computing, and AI. I am also a senior member of the Smart Internet Technologies Hub (SITHub), co-lead of the Business and Economics Insight Research Group, and a member of the Data X Digital Research Centre.
External Advisor for the BSc (Hons) Computer Networks programme at University of Manchester.
External Award Examiner for the BSc (Hons) Computer Science programme at University of Essex.
Research Interests
I hold a PhD in Computer Science from the School of Computer Science at London South Bank University (LSBU), where my research project was titled “Intelligent Energy Optimisation for Sustainable Edge Computing.”
Prior to that, I earned an MSc in Software Engineering from the School of Mathematics, Computer Science, and Engineering at City, University of London. My master’s dissertation, “Control End-to-end Job Latency of MapReduce in Heterogeneous Networks,” focused on mitigating latency in diverse network environments. I also hold a BSc (Hons) in Computer Science.
Since 2018, I have worked as an Associate Lecturer in Computer Science at LSBU. During this period, I served as a coordinator on the EU-funded CiProVoT project, overseeing the development of a Massive Open Online Course (MOOC) platform in five different languages. This effort reached learners across multiple European countries, with the potential to impact over a million users.
I am an early career researcher, a software engineer, and an emerging expert in green computing, Network Function Virtualisation (NFV), and machine learning (ML). As a Fellow of Advance HE, I demonstrate a strong commitment to high-quality teaching and the Professional Standards Framework. I am also an active member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), the British Computer Society (BCS), and the Association for Computing Machinery (ACM), reflecting my dedication to contributing to the broader scientific community and staying current with industry trends.
