Dr Liping Wu

I am a Lecturer in Financial Accounting / Management Accounting at the School of Business, London South Bank University, and have been working at LSBU since 2018. I hold a PhD in Accounting and Finance from LSBU and am a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy. 

I also serve as the Year Leader for Foundation and Level 4 BA (Hons) Accounting and Finance at LSBU, and I am a module leader, teaching a range of business-related modules. Before joining LSBU, I worked in various accounting and finance roles in UK-based telecommunication companies. I obtained an MSc in Banking and Finance from Queen Mary University of London and a BA (Hons) in Accounting and Finance from Manchester Metropolitan University.

My research interests primarily lie in empirical finance and quantitative finance, with a focus on the study of global economic policy uncertainty as well as stock and cryptocurrency markets using copula models. I also supervise undergraduate and postgraduate students' research projects in Accounting and Finance.
