I began my PhD at LSBU in 2020, with my research focused on dental topography of mammals and invertebrates and its impact on food breakdown. Previously, I obtained my Master's degree from LSBU in Mechanical Engineering. I teach tutorials for the Solid Mechanics and Materials module in the School of Engineering.
Research interests
I am a member of BAE Labs, exploring the developing field of anthroengineering. My research within the lab has explored the subject of dental topographic analysis, drawing comparisons between dentitions of mammals and mandibles of invertebrates to provide evidence of convergent evolution between long-separated clades. I am also studying the effects of varying chewing surface morphology on the mechanical breakdown of different foods. Additionally, I am working to establish a 20 year study on colonies of grasshoppers, to study the long-term effects of diet on mandibular form.
