Personal profile
Overview
Overview
I am a Lecturer in Adult Nursing and a Registered Adult Nurse with extensive experience in both clinical practice and academia. I joined London South Bank University (LSBU) in 2022, building on my clinical expertise and academic achievements. I teach a range of subjects to Adult Nursing, Nursing Associate, and Postgraduate students, and I serve as a Module Lead for Nursing Associate students. My passion lies in preparing the next generation of healthcare professionals through evidence-based teaching and research-led education.
Research Interests
My primary research interests focus on the management of long-term conditions, particularly in self-care strategies, health and social policy, integrated care, and effective healthcare systems. My doctoral research explored the role and knowledge of Advanced Nurse Practitioners and Community Nurses, emphasizing multidisciplinary collaboration, standardized tools, and healthcare delivery models for managing complex care needs. As healthcare continues to evolve, I am committed to contributing to the development of workforce training that aligns with emerging healthcare challenges. My research background in health and social care services directly informs my teaching, equipping nursing students with the skills required for modern nursing practice.
Additional responsibility
I am a member of the Ageing, Acute, and Long-term Conditions Research Group, as well as the Early Career Research Group, where we collaborate to support each other's projects. Additionally, I support a pre-doctoral scheme candidate through joint work with King’s College.
