Personal profile

Overview

I am a charted architect and Course Leader of L6 Architect Apprenticeships in the school of BEA for the BA (HONS) Architecture programme at LSBU. Since joining LSBU in 2019, I have been responsible for leading the Level 6 Architectural Assistant Apprenticeship course and delivering the End Point Assessments.
I have worked for a range of highly regarded practices such as Hawkins \ Brown, and Lifschutz Davidson Sandilands Architects. My experience ranges from delivering large-scale infrastructure projects such as the new Tottenham Court Road and Bond Street Crossrail 1 stations to high-end commercial and residential projects.

Research Interests

Many students require a better understanding of the skills needed to work in practice and should be better equipped when it comes to understanding their roles and responsibilities in academia and practice.
As a Course Leader, I am responsible for providing academic leadership on the undergraduate course; my main area of research in education is to seek ways we can enhance the opportunities for collaboration between academia and professional practice to ensure that our graduates are better prepared for the realities of working in practice.

Additional Responsibility

Course Leader of L6 Architect Apprenticeships / Senior Lecturer / BA Studio 4 Lead

Subjects Taught

Together with my role as a Course Director I also lead BA design Studio 4 at the Undergraduate level of study, primarily focused on model making and infrastructure. I have been leading Studio 4 since joining LSBU in 2019, with a number of students who have received notable awards in architecture such as the RIBA’s President’s Medals and have been published on Dezeen and the Architect’s Journal.
