Personal profile
Overview
I am a lecturer in Building Services Engineering at London South Bank University - College of Technology and Environment. My journey at LSBU began in 2017 as an MSc student, leading to a PhD in Solid-state Heat Pumps, completed in May 2023. My research focuses on emerging heating and cooling technologies and smart materials, aiming to advance energy-efficient and sustainable solutions in the built environment. Passionate about bridging academia and industry, I explore innovative HVAC systems and renewable energy applications, contributing to the development of low-carbon, intelligent building infrastructures for a more sustainable future.
Research Interests
My research is deeply rooted in sustainable heating and cooling technologies, with a particular emphasis on smart materials for enhanced energy efficiency. My PhD, titled "Enhancing Thermal Output from SMA-Based Heat Pump," explored the integration of Shape Memory Alloys (SMA) in heat pump systems to optimize thermal performance. This work contributes to the ongoing global effort to develop low-carbon, high-efficiency HVAC solutions for the built environment.
Currently, I am actively engaged in two externally funded projects: a British Council project and a UKRI-funded initiative. These projects allow me to extend my expertise beyond academia, collaborating with industry partners and international research institutions to drive innovative advancements in sustainable energy solutions.
Through these endeavors, I continue to bridge the gap between research, enterprise, and practical implementation, fostering partnerships that drive technological innovation in building services engineering and renewable energy applications.
