Personal profile

Overview

I have extensive experience in PET/MR/CT imaging in clinical studies/trials, including image reconstruction, statistical modelling, machine learning, data analysis and big data management with GPU CUDA programming.

Research Interests

I conduct research into next-generation total-body PET imaging, with advanced methodologies for ultra-high resolution quantitative imaging and motion suppression for multisite neurology, oncology and endicronology applications; I also lead research in PET/CT image harmonisation methodologies for robust oncological staging and treatment assessment of lung cancer and lymphoma.

I developed the GPU-based framework NiftyPET for PET image reconstruction and analysis used in large clinical study INSIGHT46. I developed AmyPET software platform for advanced PET image analysis in neurodegeneration for large PET studies, e.g., AMYPAD.

I serve as the DPUK Imaging Network Lead, overseeing PET/CT/MR imaging infrastructure for clinical trials. My role includes harmonisation of imaging protocols, operational delivery for clinical research (Markiewicz, et al, 2026).

I am a Co-Investigator on a phase II clinical trial evaluating [18F]AldoView PET/CT for image-derived enzymatic adrenal lateralisation in patients with Primary Aldosteronism.

Subjects Taught

I am a module leader and teacher of postgraduate course on Computer Vision and Patter Recognition.

I also teach Research Methods and supervise Dissertation Projects focused on machine learning and data processing.
