Overview

Rosetta West is a registered nurse and Senior Lecturer, combining experience across clinical practice, education, quality improvement and related research since 2005. Rosetta qualified in 1983 as a Registered nurse with extensive practice and experiences in adult general medical nursing, older peoples’ services, diabetes management form a generalist nurse perspective, ESD.
Rosetta joined the University in 2005, teaching adult nursing medical, pharmacological pre-registration, public health, health promotion and nurse leadership modules. Rosetta also leads, designs and manages the post registration adult diabetes management from a generalist nurse perspective module, while drawing on related issues of ESD.

Research Interests

Rosetta WAS Awarded a Professional Doctorate from London Southbank University in 1916 related to theses entitled, “Senior Nursing lecturers’ understanding of Education for Sustainable Development: A Phenomenographic study”.
Rosetta has published several articles and contributed to “Understanding pharmacology and introducing medicines management. In: Moorley, C. Introduction to Nursing for First Year Students, SAGE, Learning Matters pp. 169-204”, used as a key resource for 1st year adult pre-registration student nurses at several national Universities.
Rosetta is a panel member for doctoral students’ research progression and an ethic committee reviewer for the Institute’s Research Ethics Committee. Rosetta is a long-standing member of London South Bank University’s Equi Net (BAME & Ally) staff network and the Race equality charter working groups. In addition to external examining and academic interests, Rosetta is also a leadership Coach for the Council of Deans 150 Leaders. rosetta also contributes to other modules such as post graduate certificate in education.
Rosetta has published articles and presented at nursing conferences in the UK and abroad, both in person and online.
