Overview

I am a Senior Lecturer in Construction, Property & Surveying, a division in the School of the Built Environment & Architecture. I joined LSBU in 2008 having previously worked in an FE College in similar subjects and levels. I studied both of my degrees in Building Services Engineering and then Sustainable Energy Systems at London South Bank University. I have taught at all levels in the Division from LS to L7 and Post graduate Dissertations. The subjects I teach over Maths, Science, Building Services and Sustainability.

Research Interests

I am passionate about sustainability and learning at all levels. I believe they are intrinsically linked in working together for community solutions to impact Global issues. I have a keen interest in equality for all people which is a part of or the basis of other roles I have in the division and School.
I am the Course Director for HNC Construction and a founding member of the Irene Barclay Collective, which seeks to support and accrue knowledge surrounding women in construction and other STEM subjects.
