Overview
I'm currently the Biomedical Science Course Leader at LSBU and an Associate Professor in Biomedical Science. Previously, I was the Education Lead for AHP and HCS at Bart's Health NHS Trust, emphasising my dedication to healthcare education. I hold three IBMS specialist diplomas: Clinical Immunology, Biochemistry, and Virology, an exceptional achievement in the UK. My academic journey started with Medicine at the University of Tirana, followed by a BSc in Medical Biochemistry at King's College London and an MSc in Biomedical Science at the University of Westminster, cementing my enduring commitment to healthcare education
Research Interests
I actively participate in my profession, serving as a Charter Scientist, IBMS external verifier for pre-registration and specialist training, and an EPA assessor for HCS L2-L7. Additionally, I'm honored to be an HCS school ambassador. My research centers on BMS workforce education and development, emphasising pre-registration attrition reduction, retention improvement, and clinical placement's positive impact.
