Overview

I am a senior lecturer in Education studies in the Division of Education in the School of Law and Social Sciences. 
I am level 6 lead for BA Education students in the final year of their undergraduate degree and I am module leader for the final year Disseration and Constructing Childhood modules.
My research interests are in forest schools, outdoor learning and the relationship between childhood and society.
Prior to joining LSBU I worked as a lecturer in Children’s literature at Roehampton University. I have also worked as a primary school teacher.

Research Interests

I am in the third year of my Professional Doctorate in Education. The focus of my research is on parental perspectives on forest schools.
In July 2022 I completed the Lego Serious Play training and am now able to offer workshops as a qualified Lego Serious play facilitator.
I am an external examiner for the MA Education programmes at both:
The University of Bolton (Bradford College)
and
St. Marys University Twickenham
