    Overview

I joined LSBU Business School as a Lecturer in Accounting and Finance in January, 2025 from University of Reading, where I was an associate lecturer and PhD researcher. I completed my PhD in the field of Environmental management accounting at Henley Business School,  University of Reading in May, 2025. Previously, I was also a Junior Research Fellow in Commerce, in the University of Kerala, India and my professional qualifications include Associate Fellowship in Higher Education Academy (AFHEA) and Cost and Management Accountancy (CMA) Intermediate from ICMAI (India). My research areas include sustainability accounting, management accounting and qualitative research in accounting. I am the cohort lead for level-six students of the Accounting and Finance programmes.

    Research Interests

My research primarily focuses on sustainability management accounting, exploring how sustainability is integrated into and used for internal decision-making processes. I am particularly interested in the behavioural and social dimensions of decision-making for sustainability. I conduct qualitative, interpretive research in sustainability, drawing on pragmatic and critical theories. I was previously awarded the IMA Research Foundation Grant for my project on Envirommental management accounting for decision-making.

While my main emphasis is on management accounting and sustainability, I also engage in research across other areas of accounting and finance, including sustainability reporting, environmental strategies, internal control and audit, forensic accounting, sustainability finance and accounting for healthcare.

My research outputs include multiple research articles including a systematic review paper in Business Strategy and the Environment (ABS 3*, ABDC A) and conference papers in several national and international conferences. I also act as a peer reviewer in several journals.
