    Personal profile

    Overview

I am an Associate Professor at the Business School. Before joining LSBU in 2020, I worked as a pricing specialist at Deloitte, focusing on complex financial derivatives. My main teaching responsibilities revolve around Business Research Methods, where I lead modules designed to develop research methodologies for both Undergraduate and Postgraduate research projects.

    Research Interests

My research focuses on the social dynamics that emerge through communication, with a particular emphasis on analysing textual data for financial and economic applications. I am committed to quantifying qualitative information, bridging the gap between textual analysis and measurable insights.

In recent years, my research has centred on political communication and its influence on financial markets. Additionally, I have expertise in the evaluation of financial derivatives and the analysis of financial data.

I am particularly interested in supervising PhD students who share my research interests, especially those keen to explore the intersection of Natural Language Processing, Finance, Politics, and Electoral Dynamics. These areas offer immense potential for impactful research, and I am eager to collaborate with students passionate about advancing knowledge in these fields. As a supervisor, I am dedicated to providing guidance and support throughout their research journey, helping them achieve both their academic and professional aspirations.
