Overview
I am a professional cinematographer and a Senior Lecturer in Cinematography in the Division of Film, School of Arts and Creative Industries.
Research Interests
I am interested in racial representation in cinematography, intersection of neuroscience and Virtual Reality through dyslexia, Virtual Production workflow, and cultural differences in international co-productions.
I am the board member of Cinematography in Progress, the first academic research group and first double-blind peer-reviewed online open access journal with a sole focus on cinematography in the world.
I actively engage with external stakeholders who are interested in my research subjects, for in stance, with LEE Filters, the leading company in camera filters, lighting accessories and colour science; DYSPLA, an organisation dedicating to promotion of neuro-divergent artists and their work; with Procam Take 2, the leading equipment rental and filming service provider in the Europe.
