    Abstract

    This textbook chapter discusses the nature and role played by consent in a range of sexual offences in England and Wales and the challenges surrounding the prosecution of violent sexual offending. It provides an introduction to the range of academic literature which discusses the definition of consent and reforms to the role of consent in England and other jurisdictions.
