Abstract

This opinion piece examined why decolonising the nursing curriculum is essential for promoting equity, diversity, and inclusivity in nursing education and practice. The current curriculum often reflects a Euro-centric perspective, overlooking the cultural, historical, and social contexts of diverse populations nurses serve. This can lead to implicit biases and a lack of culturally competent care, ultimately affecting patient outcomes.
