Abstract
Autism is a “lifelong development disability that affects how a person communicates with and relates to other people, and how they experience the world around them” (NAS, 2016f).
Among the features of the condition, autistic people1 may experience increased or reduced sensitivity to certain sensory stimuli, which can cause everyday situations and public spaces
to become extremely stressful and hard to deal with. ‘Too Much Information’ (TMI) is an autism awareness campaign produced by The National Autistic Society (NAS; a UK-based autism charity), which aims to highlight this issue, and the challenges faced by autistic people in public spaces (NAS, 2016e).
