Abstract

Depict VR is a self-guided virtual-reality intervention. It seeks to help young people to talk about their voice hearing experiences with a confidante, i.e., a family member, and build relationships. The young person wears a headset and enters a
virtual environment and selects a set of spoken comments that range from praising to critical to help them to talk about their voice hearing experiences. The comments refer to typical verbal expressed emotions from a close relative. When the young person is ready to talk about their voice hearing experiences, they can invite their confidante to put on a second headset and join them in the virtual environment. The selected comments can help the young person talk about their voice hearing experiences.
