Abstract

This editorial explores the importance of embedding racial diversity into evidence-informed nursing practice. Rooted in social justice, nursing should uphold diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) to address racial health disparities and foster cultural competence. The paper calls for continuous professional development to equip nurses with cultural sensitivity and highlights the need for more racially diverse representation at senior management levels. It advocates for leadership programs, transparent recruitment, and DEI policies in hospitals to reduce discrimination and enhance healthcare outcomes. A focus on racial diversity can lead to more inclusive, equitable care, benefitting both patients and the profession
