Abstract

When British Prime Minister Tony Blair was canvassing support for war against Iraq in February 2003, he appealed to everyone to remember the Kosovo conflict. Yet it seemed as though everyone had already done so: former minister Joan Ruddock, for example, declared that intervention in Kosovo was justified (see Independent on Sunday, 02.02.2003), and another former minister, Chris Smith, declared: "I supported the action we took in Kosovo [...] [Blair] was brave, determined and he was right."
