Abstract

My essay for the Avery Review focuses on the healthcare solidarity initiatives in Athens, which emerged as a collective response to the harsh austerity measures implemented in the country amid the financial crisis from 2010 onwards. Memories, experiences, knowledge, and struggle—personal and collective—are intertwined to create this essay that ends with “solidarity as a way of life.”
