Irish women and the Politics of Equality in the 1930s

Abstract

This article argues that contrary to dominant historical narratives the women's movement remained an active social movement in Ireland during throughout the 1930s providing a vital link between the suffrage movement and the emergence of the Women's Liberation Movement.
