Abstract
The paper proposes an accurate model for generation of video data for ATM networks. The model generates cells at shorter intervals than a video frame period. Statistics of the multiplex model are derived from the autocorrelation function and mean bit rate of a single source. Results show that both models of using multiplex and models of single sources and models of multiplex closely follow the behaviors of the multiplex of real video data.
