Abstract
This panel brings a unique mix of academics in universities using anti-racist praxis in their pedagogical approaches to education, and development practitioners who are engaging with social justice and anti-racism in innovating ways of feminist anti-racist storytelling, working with religious and faith-based agents and community engagement. Drawing from empirical scholarly and practitioner perspectives, our panel will engage in a dynamic dialogue to explore and navigate curriculum reform, pedagogical strategies, institutional policies, programmes, and community engagement. We will examine how entrenched colonial legacies are that continue to shape our work in the space and cracks within it for us to nurture communities of critical consciousness, cultivate empathy, solidarity, and collective action in our struggles against racism.
