Abstract

The chapter looks at the future of energy from a 'Built Environment' Demand Side that is is the users perspective , taking progress in the United Kingdom as an example of how change may occur as we decarbonise and move towards renewable distributed energy systems. The chapter considers both electricity and heating and cooling and how the transition is extremely challenging. Due to copyright restrictions this chapter cannot be shared openly.
