Worked Examples of Radiation Heat Transfer

Research output: Book/ReportBookpeer-review

Abstract

Heat Transfer by Radiation is an important topic in physics and many engineering disciplines such as process and petrochemical, mechanical, aeronautical and aerospace, energy and biomedical. The significance of heat transfer by radiation has been heightened as a result of the worldwide energy problems and the realization of the importance of solar energy as a renewable sources of energy. The knowledge encapsulated in this book are the results of many years researching and teaching the subject to undergraduate and postgraduate students of mechanical engineering. The book should also serve as a useful reference for practicing engineers and persons interested in energy-related problems. Furthermore, carefully chosen exercise problems supplement the text to equip students and users with the knowledge needed to tackle theoretical and practical applications of the subject. The significant features that distinguish this book from other heat transfer texts books are: (1) Coverage of the fundamentals, principles and application of radiation heat transfer. (2) Large number of worked examples with multi-step solutions.
